Brought to you by Baxter Baristas
In the heart of England lies our fabulous city of Coventry – a unique destination; a cobbled city, where every street corner has a story. Coventry is a city with a vibrant history, currently experiencing an ongoing surge of exciting growth and regeneration. Nevertheless, it has historic monuments and significant cultural destinations that we believe here at Baxter Baristas, are a must see if you are visiting Coventry:
Coventry Transport Museum
Located in the heart of Coventry city Centre, did you know that the Transport Museum has the world's biggest collection of British road transport in public ownership? Learn how Coventry was the Centre of the world's motor and cycle industries, and explore the vehicles that defined history's most pioneering Transport events. Explore the 19th Century journey through the layout of the museum and see the bicycles, carriages and cars that transformed the world we live in today.
Did you also know that the Transport Museum houses Thrust2 and ThrustSSC, the British jet cars that broke the land speed record in 1983 and 1997? The exhibition uses 4D simulation technology to enable visitors to experience a run in ThrustSSC so you can experience how ThrustSSC broke the sound barrier, a ground-breaking moment in history and an exhibition not to be missed.
